I've heard that originally, Tim was not the name that they were going to use but John Cleese just decided to change it during filming (might have forgotten his character's name and just said "......Tim?" lol).
Is that true?
haha, that sounds very possible. And Tim is not a common Scottish name, so you think they would likely have given him a more Scots sounding name in the script.
