Title says it all! Of course, Charlie Bronson totally kicked ass in it!
Then again, I could see Chuck doing a good number of Clint's movies back in the 70s as well, perhaps in flicks such as THE EIGER SANCTION, THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTFOOT, and even DIRTY HARRY!
Yea you might have a point but could stir up a bit of heat on here. Have to have a think about this one, hehe! Still there's only one Bronson and one Eastwood both one of a kind.

I think it'd be pretty cool to see Clint Eastwood as pissed-off Majestyk, but Bronson fits the description of the cahracter in the novel like a glove.

Bronson said yes...and this is one reason why Bronson finally became an action star in America in the 70's after spending a few years in European movies(famously, "Once Upon a Time in the West" in a role offered first to..Clint Eastwood, by his "Dollars/Good Bad Ugly" director Sergio Leone.

Evidently in 1970, Bronson wasn't big enough yet in America to be even considered for Dirty Harry.
The role was offered to Paul Newman first.
Then to Frank Sinatra...who said yes(Harry would have been older) and then quit over an old hand injury.
Then...well, all SORTS of actors swore they turned Dirty Harry down: John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, Walter Matthau, Bill Cosby...
...and "Western Star" Clint Eastwood finally got the nod...and superstardom and an escape from the dying Western genre.
I only wish Clint Eastwood and Charles Bronson could have worked together in something. Maybe they did something in TV but I need to check that out. They came very close to working together in the movies but it did not happen. I understand Charles Bronson was offered the part of Tuco in GBU but passed on it. Eli Wallach was probably better as Tuco anyway.
