Elmore Leonard books adapted into film

I was just thinkning that this is the best screen adaptation of any of Elmore Leonards books. Im not saying that its the best film based on a Leonard story, just that this one is the most faithful adaptation. Incidentally I think this is the best Leonard-based film, but an argument could be made on behalf of Get Shorty, Out of Sight, Jackie Brown, or 3:10 to Yuma. Anyways im a huge Elmore Leonard fan and would love to here all of your thoughts on the topic.

I don't know if "Hombre" was a book first or just a screenplay, but it was a great movie.

it was a book first, and yeah thats a pretty good transfer from page to screen as well
