Yaphet Kotto robbed of oscar!

Yaphet was robbed of oscar from his rich, detailed performance. He was a young man when he did this, certainly younger than the character he portrayed.

Other than his work in BLUE COLLAR, never been better.

He is great.

He is one of the baddest actors out there! He should've had more than one Oscar!

Love Yaphet Kotto! He has done SO much great work, and I wish he had received more awards for it. He was one of the highlights in the tv series "Homicide: Life on the Street." (along with the equally outstanding Andre Braugher, who was in my college class and had several great performances on stage in college that demonstrated for me that he'd be very successful professionally).

He also should have been nominated for "BRUBAKER."

I just saw this movie and Mr. Kotto turned in one great performance throughout the movie. .

reply

Indeed. Kotto in REPORT plays one of his best roles.
Then again, in most films he delivers - I always enjoy seeing his work.

Kotto's work here was my favorite performance in the film; I felt his character was world weary, street smart, at times funny, but also had a sympathetic side.
