Ok, I haven't seen this film in nearly 30 years, but I thought the ending had the wives turn on their husbands, grinding them under their high heels (a symbolic assertion of female dominance). But the ending was not even close.
Was this an alternate ending I am remembering, or a completely different film? any ideas?

shareMy mistake. I watched it yesterday and I could not remember anyone calling him "Diz" ,and then I checked IMDb and Arthur Hill was credited as Dale "Diz" Corbett. Patrick O'Neil was credited as Dale "Diz" Coba in the original. It's probably a rare IMDb typo.
It didn't seem right that "Diz" was not still running things only ten years later but it still seems odd that everyone else was gone. Even the pharmacist was different. Cheers.
