What's With The Clocks?

I just finished watching Burnt Offerings last night and wanted to know what's with all the clocks. It seems like they all reset to 12 a.m. for some reason. It reminded me of the scene in The Amityville horror, but this was different. Does it represent some type of possession?

As the house gains more power, the clocks all wound by themselves and were working. Obviously, the mom didn't do it, even though she says she did when her husband asks her. It's no different than the scene later when the house and shedding and looking more fresh and new.

You're welcome!! Was that your first time seeing this film? I watched it as a kid back in the 70s and it scared me, lol! I have fond memories and really enjoyed it when I watched it again a few months ago!

Hey There,

No actually, I heard about it in 2014. I was talking to a friend, and she told me about it. I bought it on Ebay, and that was the first time I watched it. I just watched it again 2 weeks ago; and that part always made me wonder. It's a great film; and now I want to read the book. They just don't make horror films like they used to.
