shareNot sure if you are being sarcastic or are offended. I didn't think twice about this I saw this movie in the 70's. However, now in my 50's I think what the heck were parents thinking about having their under aged children do nude scenes. When you are 18, you are free to make your own choices.

Jodie Foster was so traumatized by it she lost her ability to speak properly in ' Nell ' !
Why be offended? It is part of the story and it was tastefully done.

I think its more about the idea of that nude scene that bothered some of the people. I found it artistic.

People keep saying pre-teen are sexualized nowadays, but it's quite the opposite compared to the 70s where child nudity and sex scenes involving minors occured in many movies. Child porn was even legal in some European countries such as Sweden.
On top of that, rock stars in the late 60s and 70s had sex with minors, including beloved ones such as David Bowie and Jimmy Page of Led Zepplin.
In the 70's movie "Friends about a French girl and English boy runaways, they were teen parents. The movie was highly controversial then for obvious reasons! I was a child then, but have seen clips on YT. I hope they put the film on DVD someday. It is possible the musicians did not know their groupies were underage. Some young people look hard for their age in addition to makeup. Let's face it, a horny dude is not going to ask for an ID. Some men famous or not do not care. Some women are the same way, look at school teachers.
