What did the number mean? I think it was Nilo who writes it on the dashboard of his truck before they set out and then Jackie looks at it later -- smudged.

Did I miss something obvious?

The numbers mean the amount of miles they have to travel to the oil burn which is over 200 miles away. In the end when the truck dies Jackie then had to walk 2 miles to deliver the bomb. Best Friedkin movie ever although im excited for Killer Joe.

You're all wrong! It was 218. The truck died at 216.3, meaning Scanlon had to walk a mile and change to the well. Jesus, some fans you are!!!
