Bogus subtitles in the foreign language scenes?

(spoilers)

In some of the non-english scenes, I found the subtitles were a bit wrong or just plain bogus.

Near the beginning, in the french stock market president's office, the subtitles talk about bribery while the characters don't even mention it - not until much later is it vaguely implied, in other scenes. Ok, so the subtitles simplify the story a bit. Weird, but why not.

But here's the really disturbing one: near the end, when 4 local bandits/guerrilleros try to hijack the remaining truck, their leader says "los dejamos aqui en la carretera", which means "we just leave them here on the road." And the subtitles read: "We'll kill them in the road." Twice.

What the actual ****. I find this really dehumanizes the local bandits, and bandits though they may be, the original dialogue gives them something of a moral personality.

These are the hardsubs that came on the Bluray edition I'm talking about here. Anyways, I guess I'm just nitpicking, and this may be specific to the edition I got. Overall this movie is, in my mind, a masterpiece. But I just wanted to whine about this.
