i quite like the idea of a new series. i think there would be enough of a new storyline to go on and it would be nice to catch up on the old characters. though if they do bring it back with arthur they better get a move on, he's about 80 now. and they cant make a new minder without arthur.

Watch "New Tricks" then!!! It is basically Terry on the side of the law.... and Dennis has said that filming that is the most fun he has had since his Minder days.
There was talk of a special "one-off" eppisode in 1999, to be shown at New Year as a contender to the BBC who had Only Fools and Horses showing, so this was to renew the old "Minder-Only Fools and Horses" rivalry of the 1980's... but never came to anything
I agree that a new series could be done with new faces althugh with it being such a popular show, it would have to be very carefully done. Maybe with Arthur making an appearance for the first 2 or 3 episodes to help 'bed in' a new character. It would also not have to be PC this would destroy the entire show. With good scriptwriters and cast that click, I would give it a chance, definately.
