Why the hell does Cathy................it's a lie!

When Cathy rings father Delaney & she is talking to the other priest instead
Why does she tell the priest we waited in all day for father Delaney to bless the house when they clearly didn't????
If u recall, she gave up decorating the kitchen & her, George & the kids went on the boat down the river.
So when she's speaking to the priest later on asking why father Delaney didn't turn up, why does she say "He didn't come,
We waited in all day for him!"

Errrrrr that's clearly a lie. Any normal person would say "oh hang on we did go out for a bit, maybe
We missed him"

Yeah, very true. I always noticed that. I think the movie version (allegedly in real life they were at home) had the Lutz family conveniently leave before the priest arrived so the script writer wouldn't have to include why the priest didn't tell them what happened to him. Later on, that was obviously forgotten about when it comes to Kathy's phone call. Just bad/lazy writing. I'm surprised that got overlooked.
