Amityville up for sale

I would buy it if i could afford it. I liked the first 2 films and i don't believe any of the spooky goings on.

A real estate ad for a house on 108 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, New York describes it as a 'stately center hall colonial' with a formal dining room, but makes no mention of the mass murder that took place there in 1974.

The owner of the house that became the scene of the 'Amityville Horror' killings wants $850,000 for the property, according to the advertisement.

For that price, a potential buyer will get a five-bedroom, four-bathroom house with a 'large boat house' and a two-car garage - as well as a piece of Long Island true-crime history.

My sister and I really want to buy it. If we could we would sell both our houses and do it. If only our men would go for it.

Odd it's listed as center hall but leaving out the best part of it being a Dutch Colonial.

I would buy it but its out of my price range 👎 although I'm sceptical of the spooky goings on if I did move in I certainly wouldn't be watching any of the Amityville films ever again. 😉

I read an article about this and the real estate agent has made it clear, that it will only be shown to SERIOUS buyers. They want to verify that a potential buyer actually has the funds to buy and isn't just trying to get a ticket in to America's favorite haunted house. I'm not real sure how they would vet serious buyers from lookie loos.
