Was he the actual ghost of a pig that was killed there?
shareNo. From what I understood from the book he was a demonic entity taking on the form of a talking pig to communicate with the little girl. I imagine he didn't look frightening to the little girl even though he could be huge. I sort of imagine Babe, the talking pig, but bigger and with red eyes. The movie changed it to a "she" and with the Amy character not knowing what Jody looked like.
