B-25's weren't flown by 8th AF Bomb Groups
Only those that were destined for the 12th AF were based in Britain.
The 8th used single example which arrived in March 1943.(B-25C 42-53357: Miss Nashville). It had a varied career. Being used as a 'Hack' and for night photography of V-weapons sites. On loan to the 25th (Photo?) Group. It flew 13 combat sorties between 4 and 18 August 1944.
The aircraft was shot down on October 26th 1944
