4.7 - Unduly harsh? Been awhile since I've viewed

Been many, many years(20+ years) since I last saw this film, but for whatever reason I remember enjoying it as a kid.

Certain scenes are still vivid - Hector, Fawcett & a wayward steel splinter.

Was always a fan of Kirk's work.

Obviously will need to reacquaint myself with the film, but is the 4.7 an accurate score by today's standards? (apologies if that seems like an oxymoron)

The score is now up to 4.9. I think it will continue to rise, as fans of the 70s and 80s space isolation film era revist this movie.
Anything below a 6/10 is definitely too low for Saturn 3 given its excellent set design, lovely spacecraft scenes, and it's influence on other films - including Aliens (witness the scene where Hector chases the couple under the floor grills, then watch the Alien queen in Aliens chasing Newt under the floor grills).

To me, Saturn 3 sits in that same classic deep space thriller era as Alien, Outland and Moon 44. An underrated classic.
