Fawcett a robot?

Is Farrah Fawcett's character Alex a robot? Some of the dialogue hints that she may be. Was it the film makers intention for her to be a robot? For it to be ambiguous? Or is it just a case of bad scripting?

I'd go with bad acting. She seemed like a robot in Logan's Run, too. And pretty much anything else she did, come to think of it.

Both Keitel and Fawcett seemed like robots here.
