Should be remade

Ha ha just kidding or am I. Was roller skating that big in the 70's? Linda Blair look great in this one.
That emotional part when bobby shake by himself in the roller rink.

Looks like a fun time had by all doesn't it? I missed this when I was a kid, although as someone already posted, roller skating was always popular. Roller skating to Disco music was the fad at the time.

If they remake it today, I say, do hover boards and cast the lead guy or girl (Jennifer Lawrence would do it about now)as a robot with A.I. who is hiding their identity (better than Beverly Hills angle and quite up to date) and goodness we can't forget songs by Pharrell, Selena Gomez, Megan Trainor, Fifth Harmony, Beyonce and Kanye...

Then let's look back on it in the year 2051 and see how it held up...

Harshly criticize what you do, not what others dared to do.

That'd be interesting... as a TV movie; though I wouldn't guarantee it would actually draw a record audience. Network tried this maneuver several times during the early 2000s, with flashback 80s nostalgia movies - receiving only mediocre ratings. Perhaps because the much younger Gen Y 'actors' could not really put the feel or soul into an era they did not live (and no comparisons with Back to the Future, because the film focused on Doc Brown trying to blast Marty back to 1985 again)

No just leave it alone. The stuff that Hollywood tries to remake is usually

A-Crap
B-the Race is switched
C- A+B
D- all of the above

Plus it would be to forced and FAKE
Back then it was natural
