End Scene - Beaten-Up Prisoners

After the canteen riot three lads are dragged into the solitary rooms. One is Archer, one is Carlin but who is the first one?
Is it Meakin? If so then why has he been singled out with the others? The only reason I can think of is payback for the "up your fookin' Borstal' outburst.

Yes it's Meakin.

Meakin was shown first, I think most the lads got a beating, they showed Meakin as an example. You KNEW Archer and Carlin would get a beating.
