The Baseball Furies

They seem to be the most popular gang from the film to date. Is it just because of the choreography and the cool costumes? They were pathetic fighters up against The Warriors. So I guess it must be the way they were presented.

The Baseball Fairies were a joke. IMO they were even more pathetic than the Orphans because of their gay outfits and couldn't fight for *beep*

They knocked The Cowboy out to be fair.. no one else took one hit though. Damn good runners.. figures because they're athletes.

Also, bare in mind they were up against:-
- An intelligent, courageous, experienced fighter
- The muscle
- The best technical fighter of The Warriors; dude fought like a Gramercy Riff

I get the idea that the way the fight went wasn't supposed to be such a statement about the Furies so much as it was intended as a statement about those particular Warriors - Cowboy is one of the weaker Warriors, the other three are probably the toughest left at that point. The way the fight went showed this.

Also bare in mind when Cochise fought the Furies in the script he was killed. Rembrandt would've probably gotten knocked out or wrecked too, as would have The Fox. Only other Warriors who mighta' held their own against the Furies are Vermin and Cleon I reckon.

So, the way the scene went, was supposed to show us how tough those three Warriors were, to annihilate the Furies like that, who look so intimidating, brutal, tough and who we did see knock The Cowboy right out. That said, they overdid it I do believe. I think Swan oughta' have taken a nasty hit near the end to accentuate the toughness of Snow and Ajax, and Ajax oughta' have gotten a cut lip or somethin', Snow without a scratch because he's too good. That's the way it oughta' have gone.

And then later on The Punks threw Vermin into a mirror, gave Swan a right nasty looking hit on his face, all in all gave The Warriors a right tough fight. While I'm glad they did as otherwise the film would've been without a good slobberknocker, I do find myself questioning if they were trying to make a statement of the toughness and importance of Ajax in a fight there - Ajax and just two others beat down a whole mess of Furies easily, more Warriors against less Punks and it's a right slobberknocker.

Reminisce, Cowboy wasn't weak, he fought very well against The Punks, He got taken out by the lead Furie because he was exhausted after all that running and had nothing left.

I always associated that gang as equivalent you NY Yankees fans. Entitled. They think they are better than everyone. Most Yankee fans are like that.

I always thought The NY Mets were the equivalent of The Orphans. So far down they're not even on the map. Real low class.

Harry Morgan from Dexter is in this.

Their face paint was the key. Take that one thing away and nobody would give a shit about them or remember them.

Fact is, that face paint motif was dope as fuck.
