This film was quite surprising for me. I'd seen a few clips of it and expected a simple slasher type film about a babysitter on her own, but that turned out to be only the first 20 minutes or so (and the end), then the rest was more of a police thriller.
The trailer for the remake seems to only be about the babysitter scene. Is this right?
The trailer for the remake tells you pretty much the whole story. There's a killer targeting babysitters, this bratty girl has to babysit to pay her phone bill, and spends an hour or so just walking through the house and lights go on and off as she goes by, full of little false alarms that you KNOW isn't going to be anything until the cops call her back, which by that time is too late for it to be scary.
shareNot toi mention filler characters only there to be killed, sometimes even a word of dialogue (oooh, scary). Well the result stank like yesterday's diapers, but it made money. It's all that matters anyway…
