MISSED final minutes of the last ep of S7 (Ep21 'Limbo')! WHAT HAPPENS?!

Does anyone know what happens in the last few moments of the last ep of series 7?

. . . AS OUR DVR FAILED TO RECORD THE LAST MOMENTS!!!!! 

The episode was a dramatic end to the penultimate series:

S7, Ep21 'Limbo':
(orig. broadcast: 15 Apr. 1987)
[SYNOPSIS:] Magnum is shot in a warehouse and is left for dead. He then "sees" but cannot communicate with Higgins, Rick, TC, Carol, Michelle, et al.

It was bad enough missing the end of the ep this way, but then I thought: how much worse it would have been if the same thing had happened at the original broadcast date: I'd have had SIX MONTHS to wait till the next ep!! 

I believe Magnum saved Michelle from the bad guys while he is in spirit form and then he walks off into the clouds as a spirit because he died from the wound. It was supposed to be the final episode of the series, but then they brought it back for another season.

Many thanks to Lets_talk_about_that for that info. That is most helpful.

Of course these days with repeats, which are now broadcast on a daily basis, there is no need to wait months - or YEARS! (yikes!) - to get the new series. So, although I missed the details of the end of that particular episode, at least I soon found out (within a week) what happened next (in the sense of seeing the next episode). As the DVR was already set to record the next episode (S8, Ep1 'Infinity and Jelly Doughnuts'; orig. broadcast 6 months after this 'Limbo' episode, on 7 Oct. 1987). So at least I have an idea as to the events that followed 'Limbo'.

But what Lets_talk_about_that mentioned was quite interesting. I won't restate what that poster said re the events at the end of S7 Ep21 ('Limbo'), as those comments can be seen in the posting above; plus the comment has a bit of spoiler (which was :-) duly noted! by Lets_talk_about_that). However, it is interesting to see how the follow-up to an episode has to be changed if the producers decide on a different angle for the characters in a TV series from the end of one series to another!

Thanks again
