Scared me to DEATH . . . I think!

Something on this show scared me to death when I was a kid . . .I think. It was an episode in which Henry injured Monroe and the face of his self-portrait kept changing and started talking to him. Did I dream this? If it was real, did what was the name of the episode?

That is the famous Portrait of henry episode from 1983. It is reputed as being an unexpectedly dark 30 minute show for what was supposed to be a typical madcap comedy series.
