shareHopefully, another studio steps in and releases the remaining seasons of Too Close for Comfort/The Ted Knight Show on DVD.
Rhino Home Video (which released seasons 1 and 2 on DVD) cancelled their season 3 DVD release back in 2005. I can only guess it was due to poor sales from seasons 1 and 2 on DVD.
Yeah, a lot of Too Close fans have been waiting forever for all the seasons but if Rhino quit after the first 2 then what makes you think some other company will release the rest?
shareIt has been done before. For the TV series Wanted: Dead or Alive, New Line Home Video released season 1 on DVD. New Line then dropped out of releasing seasons 2 and 3 on DVD. Another studio, BCI Eclipse, acquired the rights and released the second and third seasons on DVD.
Since then, a third studio (Mill Creek) acquired the rights to the show and released all three seasons on DVD.
Hopefully another studio out there (Shout Factory comes to mind), can acquire the rights to TCFC, and release the remaining seasons on DVD.
LOL..never even heard of that show but let's hope that happens with Too Close but I wouldn't hold my breath.
