Harry Manfredini's music

Most people probably describe it as typical horror music, but the orchestra sounds so unique and quintessential Friday the 13th, I applaud him.

I remember seeing Slaughter High and getting kind of mad that Harry Manfredini made Friday the 13th sounding music for the movie. Like same sounding orchestra and everything.

The score, much like the ones for Psycho and Halloween, is iconic. Did you know Manfredini uses the same minor-Major7 chords as Herrmann?

They should definitely bring him back if they do another reboot/revival/sequel/whatever.

I could see that! Reminds me of the main theme of Re-Animator, which is extremely Psycho inspired, still a great theme.

I love Halloween, but I don't get same gooey warm feeling from the score as Friday the 13th does, not something I listen to by itself ever. But cannot deny Halloween's overall creepiness in its music.

It was a flagrant rip-off of Psycho AND Jaws at the same time.

Not a bad score in itself, but 0 points for originality.
