When the movie begins, they are sophomores. So, was Moody already doing his "protection" thing as a freshman? Did he only bully other freshman at first, then the next year the sophomores (from the previous year) and other freshman? Surely there were older kids that could have easily stood up to him.
And when did he start? Did what happened with Linderman's brother give him the idea? Or was he doing it before that?
Only God the Lord knows.
shareI kinda wish the movie had more focus on Moody, Dubrow, hightower, and the other guy. Just so we could get a little more insight into those characters. But I guess that would've made them more sympathetic and obviously wouldn't have worked.
shareTo me, it just didn't seem to make much sense. It was the first day of school, their sophomore year. Carson told Cliff "lots of kids" paid Moody the protection money. So, as a freshman he was able to bully so many kids?
shareSure why not. I"m sure there were a lot of nerds in the freshman class they could strong arm.
