One of those rare cases where the sequel surpasses the original. It had better cast, pacing and overall narrative and it not only serves as a sequel to the novel but to Kubrick's adaptation as well. Doctor Sleep is quite a gem and will end up as a classic that people will come back to for years to come.

DEEPLY FLAWED AND MOSTLY BORING....AS IS MOST OF KUBRICK'S WORK...FULL METAL JACKET NOT INCLUDED.

I'm not a huge fan of it,mainly because of Nicholson, but I've always thought it was well made...

ITS SLOW,DREARY,MISCAST,BADLY PACED,ODDLY WRITTEN,ETC ETC....BASICALLY NICHOLSON AND KUBRICK HAVE SOLD THE FILM'S REPUTATION BASED ON THEIR NAMES.

LOL we have the opposite view on Kubrick... To me FMJ is his most flawed film, and my least fave. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
