How would you compare this film to the film Titanic? (1997)

Not sure, except I only saw Titanic once where I've seen Somewhere in Time a bunch of times. I think the horror of the sinking of the Titanic was not fun to watch and certainly not something I wanted to see over and over, and there were some things in that movie that really annoyed me, like when she threw that incredibly valuable necklace into the ocean. What? What a waste! If she didn't want it, she could have sold it and given the money to charity. LOL
