Store Detective Scene?

Does anyone know if the store detective sequence towards the beginning of the film was cut? It doesn't seem to have any resolution and is open-ended. Is there a deleted scene out there?

Well, Gene's character says he was fired so a safe assumption might be that he was wrong and that she wasn't shoplifting

I always assumed Skip was *right* and that's why he was sacked. If the actress really hadn't stolen a dress and wasn't nude under her coat, she could have just open the coat and proved it. Which would prove her innocence and also be a good lesson to Skip. Instead she chose to turn her back angrily and hurry away.

I always felt the end of the scene was cut too. My guess is that she wasn't naked under her coat, so the scene continued and was just too long, so it was easier to just cut where ther did and have him say he was fired.

Skip was completely wrong, she wasn't naked under her coat, and did not steal a dress....hence his sacking.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I was rewatching this and I totally agree. There is no resolution. There should have been a scene where she flashes him, or something.

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.
