Nice to see the Brits appreciating American comedy! Though, this list is sort of lame and the reviews are a bit short & siplistic, like so:
37. Stir Crazy, 1980
A pleasantly ludicrous prison comedy starring two great comedians, Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder, at the peak of their powers. Hapless buddies Harry (Pryor) and Skip (Wilder) find that putting on a giant woodpecker costume at the wrong moment can get you a 125-year prison sentence with no hope of remission. Stir Crazy can probably boast of featuring cinema's funniest ever chicken impression. < That is hardly a funny scene, but whatever. And I don't think they did much 'drugs' in Animal House, either. Lot of drinking though. Cheers!

There's nothing official about any list made up on any TV Show! The only list that counts is the one in your own head.

Well then again, this WAS a list compiled by Brits, so their take on humour is a little different than ours in America!

I suspect when the Richard Pryor biography movie comes out, this movie will be discovered by a whole new generation. It's really a funny movie, I'm surprised at how little exposure it's gotten over the years!

All of the Pryor/Wilder films are underrated. This is easily in my top 10 comedies. With a list like this you can't really complain about where it comes, just be glad it got the recognition to be on there at all.

A boxed set of their comedies is long overdue!

A big hats off to Sidney Poitier. Didn't think he could direct such a zany comedy like this!

I think this is pretty, pretty funny film. It really makes me laugh, my favorite comedy. Gene Wilder did a really nice job, he is so funny.
