As someone yelled in a Harrison Ford movie,

"HELLO, BOYS! REMEMBER ME? I'M BAAAACCCCKKKK!!!!"

Here are the words you requested:

"Down in the Valley"
sung by:
Grossberger
(Erland Van Lidth)
(Opera Singer)
Movie: "Stir Crazy" (1980)

"Down in the Valley, the Valley so Low;
Hang Your Head Over, Hear the Wind Blow.
Hear the Wind Blow, Love; Hear the Wind Blow.
Hang Your Head Over, Hear the Wind Blow.

Roses Love Sunshine, Violets Love Dew.
Angels in Heaven Know I Love You.
If You Don't Love Me,
Love Who You Please.
Put Your Arms 'Round Me,
Give My Heart Ease.

Give My Heart Ease, Love;
Give My Heart Ease.
Put Your Arms 'Round Me,
Give My Heart Ease.

Write Me a Letter, Send it by Mail.
Send it in Care of: The Birmingham Jail.
Birmingham Jail, Love; The Birmingham Jail.
Send it in Care of: The Birmingham Jail."

There you are. I know there are different versions of this song, but this is the way it was sung in THIS movie.

He also was in "The Wanderers" and that was a pretty cool movie.

reply

does anyone know where i can download his version of birmingham jail (down in the valley)

reply

Yes, at first Grossberger seems to be a terror but once they got to know him, they realized he wasn't so bad. That was when they were thrown into a cell with him and the warden figures he'll kill them when in reality he just wanted to be friends.

reply

Not likeable enough for the rest to think of a way to help him escape though.
