Do miner's shower together when they get off? Is that a normal thing, I figured they just went home dirty and showered there. On a side note, some of the guys in this move were really hot in a 70s/80s kind of way. I like the high waisted jeans on guys, can you imagine anyone wearing those today?
shareI don't know about actual miners. I would think so since even professional athletes shower right after the game so they can go to the press conferences and interact with the media after getting cleaned up and changed.
I do know that at the cast reunion and screening of the film MBV in Toronto in May, 2009, the male cast members (TJ, Axel, & Howard)said that in that scene, they were all completely nude and Alf Humphreys (who played Howard) said the water was ice cold. If you watch the shower scene, Howard never really gets wet (when he's talking about Gretchen). He just sort of sticks his hand in the water. Humphreys said this was deliberate as the water was so cold.

Now I'm confused. I googled David Keith just now and thought 'Wow, the similarity is eerie'. But then I browsed through the cast list of MBV and found out that I was thinking of Neil Affleck (Axel), not Rob Stein (John). The Neil Affleck of that time could pass for a David Keith look-alike.
Also, Affleck's IMDb page tells you that he went on to become an animator for a little-known show called 'The Simpsons'.
