February? Canada?
Is there any place in Canada that is so mild in mid-February? Even in the US, what mining town has such mild weather on Valentine's Day? I thought that was a goof.

You can usually find out when a movie was filmed just by checking the box office section on IMDb, MBV was filmed between September and November 1980.

I am Canadian, and I lived in Nova Scotia for 30 years.
Many February's are warm enough there. The climate is a "wet" winter, so it stays humid even in the winter months. Sidney is in the southern part of the province, and because it's right beside the ocean, the temps are often above zero, even that time of year. It's usually more damp than cold, and you begin seeing more freezing rain than snow some winters.
It's not like Winnipeg, where I live now...this place is super cold and frozen in the winter. Completely different winter altogether.
