WALLY: Uh, could I have a club soda, please?

BARTENDER: I'm sorry, sir, we only serve Source de Périon [Perrier?].

WALLY: That would be fine, thank you

*Later*

BARTENDER: Good evening, sir. Nice to see you again.

ANDRE: Thank you! Good evening. I think I'll have a spritzer, if I may.

BARTENDER: Yes, sir.

Now,
Wikipedia: A spritzer is a tall, chilled drink, usually made with white wine and soda water.

I don't get it.

Presumably the spritzer would be made with the highfalutin club soda substitute the bartender mentions. But you're right -- it's odd.

Club soda or seltzer or sparkling mineral water are basically all the same, so, yes, Andre's spritzer was made with the Perrier.

Were this a Kubrick or Lynch there would be three hundred threads on that alone. There ought to be subtleties to it. How a slight steer redefines the whole of a something and/or someone, maybe?
