I don't know, but I do have an old Starlog magazine with an advertisement for ballcaps with logos from sci fi movies. USS Nostromo, Tyrell Corp, and of course, Con-Am. It was the Con-Am cap (just like Connery's) that I really wanted. I tried calling the 1-800 number a few years ago (upon rediscovering the ad) and got a dry cleaning company in L.A. Oh well.

I picked up my Con-Am cap from Minotaur in Melbourne (Australia) in 1993. The cap is long gone, but I still have the patch that I'll have sewn onto a new scrambled egg cap sometime. The patch is the Federal Security Agency 27 patch. I remember going to the Big Day Out one year with it on and people coming up to me asking me if I could let them in, as if I was really security...damn funny.

You can find replica patches from Outland on EBAY.

http://www.patchgeeks.com has the best selection of sci-fi patches I've ever seen. They have both the ConAm and the Federal Marshal patches.

Peter Hyams has only used the company name of Con-Am at least twice. In Capricorn One and Outland. He has also used the name Spota in both Outland and The Presidio(both with Sir Sean Connery).

He even used Jupiter and its moons twice in both Outland and 2010(Jupiter was the setting for the entire Space Odyssey saga, for those who haven't seen 2001 and 2010. Let alone read the books by the late Sir Arthur C. Clarke).
