The characters included two members of the wealthy Vanderkellan family.

In one first season episode the Inn was considered for a historical plaque. Leslie Vanderkellan said there was a historical plaque on her family's house, and when asked why it had a historical plaque she said "It's my family's house".

In one episode some of the characters went to the Vanderkellan mansion.

For exteriors of the Vanderkellan mansion the show used a picture looking up a steep lawn toward the Greystone Mansion (built 1928) in Beverly Hills, California, which has been seen in many movies and tv shows.
