This made quite an impression when I saw it on MTV. So different than US comedies.
Most TV comedy in the US was pretty formulaic and predictable.
This was unlike anything I'd seen before. Everyone on the show was totally mad in one way or another. And the show would get kind of surreal at times, like when a band appeared in their apartment and played a song without explanation.
