Not only that, but that gun didn't even exist yet in 1982. Its squared-off trigger guard first appeared on the Beretta 92F, introduced in 1984. Before that, the Beretta 92 and its variants all had a rounded trigger guard like this:

I'd like to know why so many old movies released on DVD and BD have discount bargain basement covers, while the old VHS releases almost always used the official theatrical posters for the covers.
