I saw this movie in the 80's when it came on Showtime or HBO.
I thought it was pretty horrific.
I think as a kid we watch movies to be entertained, and not really for substance. This movie was one of the ones implanted in my memory along with some other movies like The Children, Halloween, Pirahna, The Curse, Razorback etc. I know a lot of people don't think these movies are any good. But I thought they were pretty cool.
I agree with you entirely - although I was actually already an 'adult' when this movie was made, but your points are good ones; why are movies judged solely by other negative factors? I think this is 'entertainment' and that is the most important factor in my opinion. And by the way; I thought Judy Geeson was great!
shareI have recently seen this movie and I must say that I agree with you. This is a pretty decent and fun b-movie even if it does become a bit redundant at times.
shareSomehow this has escaped my radar for three decades, but I finally saw it today. It's a very entertaining and reasonably competent sci-fi horror film with decent performances and production values. Plus, the cast is British, which seems to make it a bit more dignified. 6/10 stars.
