I just watched this movie under the title Horror Planet from a DVD released by Cheezy Flicks. Did they cut all the gore out or something? I heard that this movie was pretty gory, but the movie I just saw really wasn't. A little blood, but nothing gory. Perhaps the Cheezy Flicks cut is an edited one? Anybody know?
shareWell, having just gotten this dvd from netflix, I can kinda answer your question. While I can't say whether this version is edited or not, I can say that it is the same as both the vhs versions I have seen.
One, released some time ago as Horror Planet, possibly late 80's or so while dark in terms of picture quality, was the same as the cheesy flicks one, and while I do have only my memory to go by on this account, I'm fairly certain they're the same.
On the second vhs, this one titled "Insemnoid" and supposedly uncut and etc... I found in a Big Lots and scooped up for just a few bucks, thinking there'd be even more coolness in it, but it seemed to be the same as the older one, with a slightly better color pallate and picture quality.
Anyways, having just watched the "uncut" vhs not so long ago and checking the cheezy dvd, we're again left with the movies being the same.
In foreign releases there might be more, likewise in terms of a widescreen release, but to my best information, the version you saw was the complete movie.
