the Rams return to Los Angeles

The NFL's Rams were in Los Angeles from 1946 to 1994 (though technically they played down in Anahiem from 1982 to 1994), then moved to St. Louis in 1995. The Raiders also moved back to Oakland that year, leaving the Los Angeles area with no pro football team. This continued for twenty years, but earlier this year the Rams left St. Louis and moved back to Los Angeles. They will be playing there this coming season, and will be right there in LA, playing at the Colosium just south of downtown.

The movie Poltergiest was filmed in 1981 and released in 1982, when the Rams were in Los Angeles, and it was obviously filmed and set in Los Angeles. And there are several indications relating to the Rams during it. One is a toy Rams helment on the headboard of Robbie's bed. Another, bigger one, is near the beginning of the movie when Steve and a bunch of his friends are watching the Rams play the New Orleans Saints in the Superdome on TV in the Freeling house. They have alot of beer they are drinking and some have bets on the game, that the Rams will win, and thus are really into the game and pulling hard for the Rams. Those are two things I have never and will never do, drink and gamble, though I know plenty of people that do one or both. But I am a big pro football fan and have been since the late seventies/early eighties, and for a few years in the mid eighties the Rams were one of my favorite teams and I often pulled hard for them. And I was glad earlier this year when they returned to Los Angeles and LA got pro football again. One reason for that is that since September, 2010 I have lived in an apartment in Charlotte, NC, after years of being homeless there, and when my lease expires this coming September I am considering giving this apartment up and moving out to Los Angeles, renting a storage unit and becoming homeless again. I'm considering this because I have been at this apartment for six years, and in Charlotte for alot longer than that, and I would really like to live in LA. But I'm not sure if I should do this or not, as I have said I would now rather be housed in Charlotte than homeless in another city (even if it is LA). But one thing I would definitly do in Los Angeles if I lived there is go to a Rams' game, as I would really like to go to the LA Colosium. I did in fact go to a NFL game in Charlotte on December 20, 1998 when the Rams (then in St. Louis) played the Carolina Panthers, which is the first pro football game I had ever been to. And the Panthers began play in 1995, the year the Rams (and Raiders) left Los Angeles, so they have never been to LA at all, though they will this coming season, as they are scheduled to play the Rams on the road.

:/ what, besides your obsession for pro football have to do with this? The movie is based in a burg outside of LA, that's evident. But what does the rest of that book you wrote have to do with the movie??

Rewatch the movie, pay attention, and you'll understand...

The Los Angeles Rams were a big part of the 1978 hit movie "Heaven Can Wait".
Are there any other movies that show or mention the Rams?

SO if I get this right

7 years ago you were fantasizing about moving from Charlotte NC [I've lived in Raleigh since 95} a pretty nice town, to Los Angeles, to be homeless, because you are a Rams fan

LA was a pigsty in 2017, as it is now, especially if you plan to be homeless

ALL the BS you mention about the Rams and the movie could have been for GreenBay, The Steelers, ANY Fg TEAM based on what the producers, & directors wanted,,, If it had been me I'd have made any Football references about The Eagles
