Good movie

Watched this for the first time with the wife, We both liked it. It was a nice find, just a random movie selected in my Plex library.

It hit home for me. I am about their age and drove home for funeral after a old friend committed suicide recently. I did a long 18 hr day with travel but never stuck around... I should've taken a couple days to reconnect with all my old friends, like they did in this film.

Was a bit odd that the one woman let her husband screw her friend to get pregnant.

A bit odd for sure but Sarah knew Harold wasn't going to leave her and it was done as a favour for someone they cared about and she knew Meg wanted to become a mother and wanted great father figure if she happens to get pregnant and her child happens to ask her who her dad was. Harold seems like most reliable and head screwed on guy out of the bunch of friends.

It's a great film, probably king of this genre of films of old high school or college friends meeting up for a week or weekend after years apart. The cast are fantastic (especially the late William Hurt and Glenn Close, and Meg Tilly was stunning in this and Jeff Goldblum is fun) and soundtrack is one of the best you'll ever hear. And at 1hr 45mins, it doesn't outstay it's welcome.

Still my favourite Lawrence Kasdan film.
