Spoiler question about Ralphie's "Christmas Theme"?
Do you agree that the C+ grade she gave to Ralphie on his Christmas Theme was accurate? I somewhat think so although I would've liked to see him get a higher grade.
shareIt was probably worth a B+, but she dropped it a full grade to a C+ due to her bias against the BB gun.
shareEven outside of the bias it really wasn't that well written. It was just, "I want a bb gun for Christmas. I think bb guns are good for Christmas." Without really going into why he feels that way.
I admit when I was just a bit older than Ralphie in 1997, I wanted a Venom with a bunch of heads (an action figure from a Venom comic called the Madness) cause I saw a kid at school with one. And really the only reason I wanted it was just cause it looked cool.
If I was asked to write a paper about what I wanted for Christmas that year I probably would have gotten a low grade because of being unable to explain well why I wanted that toy.
