I just read about this today. It starts filming in February. I wonder if they are trying to get it out by this coming Christmas?

Which one? The only one I saw was My Summer Story (different cast but with Jean Sheppard narrating). I thought that was a fine sequel and my sons wore out our VHS of that movie. I haven't seen A Christmas Story 2 which is also considered the sequel depending on who you ask.

Regarding the newly announced second sequel, I think if they really hire good writers to craft a great story as opposed to just mailing it in for the money, I they can make another movie worthy of a seasonal tradition.
