Did Rose know all along that her mother was alive? I mean, she doesn't seem that surprised that her mother shows up at the end, and watch her face after Monty hangs up the phone, she says "Is it... Mother?" It's like she was in on it all along.

I thought it was awful that Rose's mother faked her death. Even if there was a plane crash wouldn't there possibly be remains and definitely a funeral? Isn't faking your death illegal? I know it wasn't a serious movie. But fiction doesn't mean fantasy.
