Another edited scene

I recall seeing a scene where Monty is talking to Nicky(?) on a park bench.
He makes note of a man with his son sitting on his lap on the bench behind them and how nice it is.
Then a woman comes along with a police officer. It is implied that the man was a child molester.

I think I saw this in the theatrical version and once on TV, but never on the VHS version. Could somebody verify this?

I know that the scene you're talking about is on the DVD.

I have an old VHS version of this film, and that scene is included on that version.

Ditto, it's on the VHS. "Your kids, Nicky, that's why I'm going thru all this, for my kids, it's the greatest love of all." "Look at that man over there, look at how he loves that kid, how he holds him on his lap..." Funny.

This movie was on AMC today and that scene is still there. Yeah, as the cop walks away with the molester, the cop mentions something about the guy's overcoat. At the same time, the mother tells her son to "spit it out," obviously a reference to the molester having seduced him with some candy.

The cop: (walking the guy away): Let me see some ID.
Molester: Its in my other raincoat.

Why did this happen Forrest?

You got shot.

I saw Easy Money last night on MGM's high def channel last night and it did include the scene you reference. It did NOT include the boxing match dream sequence that has also been excluded from the DVD and later VHS tape releases. I can only assume it was cut due to the pacing of the film and not because Kimberly McArthur's top flaps open like a window shade to expose her breasts as the scene where she's sunbathing topless was not deleted. (Note: Some versions have an alternate sunbathing sequence in which she wears a bikini top.)

So does anyone know if the boxing scene is still intact on the laserdisc?
