Sondra, Denise, Theo, vanessa and Rudy. That is five kids.
Sondra was a last-minute change to the show when it was decided that they needed to show the results of a good upbringing and have a child who had already finished high school. Plus, it allowed the Huxtable kids to more easily mirror Bill Cosby's real-life kids.
