How is she not the prime suspect

She is in the area of lots of completely unrelated muders, she isn't a cop and constantly interfares with the police investigations. Surly the police would have her at top of the suspect list particularly as she is a writer and writes about the murders.

LOL - good one.

hmmm  - Those police and sheriffs are kind of really dumb on this show - because they constantly arrest innocent suspects - and judges and juries don't know what is going on either - so maybe they forget from week to week how she usually gets mixed up in completely unrelated murders - and also multiple murders related to each other during the same episode, right?

That one defense attorney guy in "Witness for the Defense" does his homework - and nails her - and her relatives - and everybody around her - because he actually does his homework in investigating her pattern - while none of the cops wherever she goes ever knows what is going on.

 Mellow Salutations!

Fortunately the viewers aren't as oblivious as the law enforcement on this show. Many have come to conclusion that Jessica herself is a serial killer who has been framing other people for years for the murders she's committed.

That is my take on it.
And it would make for an hell of a finale reveal.

Yes! This is why I would have loved a MSW/Columbo cross-over.

The formula for these shows contradict each other. Many of the Columbo murderers are way too interested and involved in the investigation. Very suspicious behavior and similar to the way Jessica gets involved. Also Columbo typically lets the suspect think they are assisting him in the investigation. In the Columbo-universe Jessica is definitely suspect material.

Shame it never happened.

I would have loved that episode if it were made πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™€οΈπŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

Columbo would be standing outside his Peugeot in several scenes, smoking his cigar, petting Dog, and shaking his head at what a bimbo Jessica is.

reply

Trust me. I did well in college statistics class. This is all very possible even if she is not directly involved in the murders.

reply

There is no way I would hang out with Jessica. Half of her friends either get killed, or are killers. And for a small, sleepy Maine town of Cabot Cove, there sure are a lot of murders!
