Question about A Choice of Dreams (spoiler)

Any theories as to why the boss killed his assistant. He gave him a cash reward then he shot him. That was probably the coldest and most chilling scene in the entire show's run. Any theories?

Because he didn't have anything to leave him. He had to give his entire fortune to Michaelson for the brain procedure. He figured he'd tell his buddy that he was leaving him everything, make him as happy as he could possibly be, so he would die in a happy moment.

This was a creepy episode. So are we to assume that Michaelson was the Devil? He said "welcome to Hell".

Yeah, I suppose so. He said he dealt with "people like him" meaning Correlli, and by extension, evil.
