*gasp* A remake???

BLASPHEMY!

Leave it as it is!

Besides, nobody could possibly equal, much less improve this film, and anything worse would just fall flat.

Agreed. It is a film of its time, as well. There was something superbly tacky, gaudy, excessive and puerile about the 80s and this film says it all. It was perfect the first time and nothing, NOTHING could top a drug sniffing donkey, a man's best friend in a foot long hotdog bun and watching Tom Hanks juggle all that T&A!

My only hope is that after a long hard day being Robert Langdon or Chuck Noland or even Forrest Gump, Tom goes home and sticks this gem into the ol' DVD player, pours himslef a huge brandy and revels in former glories.

This is on my short list of movies to never remake.

A remake? Yeah, like Hollywood isn't already creatively bankrupt. What is the release date Dukes of Hazzard again?

I love how people are becoming as original as Hollywood and going to every half way decent movie's board and saying remake? Jesus, they're remaking Porky's, Police Academy, Creepshow... is it time for a Meatballs remake(don't tell me they're probably already doing that).

for some reason i'd really like to see a remake. maybe with the frat pack or some new young actors on the rise. i dont know, i was watching it the other day, it just seems to be a movie that can be easily remade into a funny, and great movie.

The movie is a classic. LEAVE IT ALONE

I will pour honey on anyone suggesting a remake then throw them into a hornets nest.

I am watching this movie right now. An I agree with most of you, they should (and could) never remeke this movie. It's perfect comedy!!

But...

I think that Collette61 would like to know, if Hollywood EVER did remake this movie, who should be cast in a remake.

At this time, I have no names (because I am enjoying watching it), but who would you prefer to see in a remake. Just give it a try...

I loved "Bachelor Party", but would not want to see it remade. You can't reheat a soufflé. Remakes usually stink and there are way too many of them. I am surprised the entire concept of a bachelor party has not been abolished. There is a growing element of society who thinks bachelor parties should be a bunch of guys holding hands around a camp fire and singing "Kumbaya".
