Run, don't walk, to Bolero!

Hilariously trashy softcore porn with Bo Derek producing and her Svengali husband John Derek as writer and director. Since John Derek had worked with Cecil B. Demille on The Ten Commandments (as Joshua), he probably thought he knew a thing or two about directing a movie. Yet it's one botched scene after another. The horrible audio will be the first thing you'll probably notice. Even the title "Bolero" shamelessly riffs on the Ravel piece featured in Bo's big scene in Blake Edwards' 10--the scene that made her a star in '79. (Ravel fans will be happy to hear his music is not played in Bolero) Enjoy it for the laughs. You can't believe how incompetent a movie can be. As of this writing (December 2021) it's up on HBOMAX.
